Frida. Her life was colorful, controversial, and legendary. Her physical life was burdensome, from her injuries to her love life. Her passions were as strong as her character, which allowed her to present to her viewer, her life, in paintings. I admire the strength she had, to be who she was, and show the world her pain, and glorious ‘vida’, with little hidden. The weight of her relationship with Diego was somewhat balanced by her many lovers, represented as earrings in this painting.
